The Siena Youth Center strives to provide a safe, healthy, active, and happy place for the youth between the ages of 10 and 17 in the Fair Oaks Community in Redwood City. 1000 Grains provides HLC and CoMer programs, and we are developing a new United Families for Healthy Living program, for families affiliated with SYC and Holy Family School.

San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League (S.A.L)

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League has been “connecting cops with kids” through a variety of sports, mentoring, arts and dance, healthy living, leadership, and character development programs since its founding in 1997. 1000 Grains has developed an HLC program for families affiliated with S.A.L.

Twin Girls Farm

Twin Girls Farm

Twin Girls is a family owned and run, organically sustained farm that grows a wide variety of stone fruit and citrus, named in honor of the owners’ twin girls. Twin Girls has supplied us with fruit since the inception of our CoMer project.

San Mateo Credit Union (SMCU)

The San Mateo Credit Union is a community-minded financial institution that serves members who live or work in San Mateo County. As a partner of 1000 Grains, SMCU provides fee-free checking and saving accounts to interested participants in our HLC programs.

Get Healthy San Mateo County

Get Healthy San Mateo County

Get Healthy San Mateo County is a local collaborative of community-based organizations, County agencies, cities, schools, and hospitals working together to advance policy change to prevent diseases and ensure everyone has equitable opportunities to live a long and healthy life. It is managed by the San Mateo County Health Department. Get Healthy provided seed funding to launch our CoMer project.
